The guidance office is the heart of BCHS Academics. The guidance office works to ensure student success, administer testing, build master schedules, provide career guidance, give emotional support and so much more. If a student is struggling, needs to talk about schedules, or has dreams of attending the world's best universities, he or she can stop by the guidance office for help.
Mrs. Chapman - 11th & 12th Grade Counselor - Mrs. Chapman works with students in grades 11 & 12. She focuses on the college application process, academic counseling, NCAA clearinghouse info & more.
Mr. Zeilenga - 9th & 10th Grade Counselor - Mr. Zeilenga is a guidance counselor who works with students in grades 9 & 10. His roles include 8th-9th grade transitions, academic support, KCTC programming & more.
Mrs. Wierenga - At-Risk Coordinator - Mrs. Wierenga is an at-risk coordinator who works with 504 students, E-2020, North Star Academy, and online education.
Mr. Jeff Cole - Social Worker - Mr. Cole services students assigned to him through their IEP's.
Mrs. Schierbeek - Registrar - Mrs. Schierbeek is the BCHS registrar. She handles schedules, enrollments, transcripts, report cards, and many aspects of the student information system, PowerSchool.
Mrs. Hogoboom - Guidance Administrative Assistant - Mrs. Hogoboom is an administrative assistant who specializes in scholarships, college applications, testing, transcripts, and graduation ceremonies.
