At the Early Childhood Center, bathrooms are being added to rooms that were originally used for infant care. These updates will allow the spaces to be converted into classrooms for students this fall. In addition, an older classroom is being renovated into office space for itinerant staff members.

Construction is also taking place this summer at Brown Elementary. Existing air unit ventilators and temperature control units are being upgraded to improve comfort and efficiency. The district is also coordinating bond-funded improvements with projects supported through the Building & Site Fund, including replacing worn flooring in the kindergarten wing at Brown.

At Byron Center High School, crews are replacing tile flooring with rubberized sheet flooring in the athletic wing near the pool entrance, where previous tile had become damaged. This new flooring will match the surface used near the weight room and provide improved safety and flexibility for student athletes training in the hallway.

Work continues to move forward as planned, with projects progressing steadily across all sites. We look forward to sharing continued updates as milestones are reached and as additional projects transition from planning into construction and ultimately into use for our students and community.
